Airhead by Meg Cabot (1st of the trilogy)

This is a very enticing book. I thouroughly enjoyed reading it.

The book is about a girl called Em Watts who suffers a very serious accident and her life will never be the same again because she's now living the life of a teen-supermodel. She's finding it so hard to cope and so is her best friend, Christopher. How can she be herself when, well, she's not and prove to Christopher that she's the same person inside another body? With a few friends, family, a doctor and lots of courage she hopes to adapt to another life entirely because living like a star isn't always fun...
 Review
So in more detail this book begins as Em Watts and her best friend, Christopher. They do everything together and then one day she brings her sister to the grand opening of Soho Stark Megastore. Nikki Howard turns up and unfortunately...protesters. They're shooting paintballs evrywhere. One hits the TV near Em' sister so she pushes her out of the way yet breaks the fall of it. She wakes not knowing what had just happened and that Nikki Howard had suffered a brain aneurysm. However, a surgical procedure saves the body of one and the mind of another and Em ends up getting a brain transplant. She's not pleased.
Her parents agree to continuing Nikki's life but Em is not ready to leave her old life. She has to carry on at school as Nikki, determined to be best friends with Christopher (her secret crush) which seems impossible as he is still mourning his best friend Em who he believes and must continue believing is dead.

An extract from the book I found particularly interesting was:
"I took a deep breath, still fighting for calm."
"I don't know what the two of you are talking about but there must have been some misunderstanding. My name is Emerson Watts. My parents - who are going to be very upset when they find out I'm missing from my hospital room, by the way - Daniel Watts and Karen Rosenthal-Watts. I don't know why you guys seem to think I'm Nikki - Howard I presume. But I'm not."

A feature
My favourite character is Em Watts because she is so different to other girls of her age. Most girls would love to be in the body of a famous supermodel yet she doesn't. I like the way she has a lot to say about her life and acts very wary with the characters, and I like how she conveys that her life has gone the reverse to how she used to live to prove that being famous isn't really that good. I like the way she is reluctant to carry on and appreciates the fact that she was saved.

I rated it 5 stars because I thought it was the best book i ever read! There were so many mysteries which left me confused! It was a very tempting book to read!
